Hadronic interactions are discussed within the context of the constituentquark model. The "Quark Born Diagram" methodology is outlined, extensiveapplications to meson-meson and meson-baryon interactions are discussed, andgeneral features of these interactions are highlighted. The second half of thisdocument deals with shortcomings of the quark model approach and methods toovercome them. These include relativistic kinematics, unitarity, nonlocalpotentials, coupled channel effects, and the chiral nature of the pion.
